Equivalency is the act of equating the degree of an academic institution in higher education inside or outside the country with the same or similar programme of the University. Within the University, one programme of study may also be granted equivalency to another programme of study of the University.

Approved degrees are the combination of KTU program,branch and applicant's university, program, branch, scheme at university of study for which Equivalency/Recognition have already been granted. All the approved degrees which have been recognised/made equivalent by KTU are listed below. Kindly check whether your degree combination is present in the list, then you can request for certificate from the corresponding apply link as a subsequent applicant. Otherwise you can apply as a new applicant.

Details of Decision Type:
Equivalency : If "Equivalency certificate" is awarded, then the applicant's degree is both recognized and equivalent by the KTU Program/Branch .

Fee details:

  • For primary Equivalency certificate application(For degree which have not been recognised/made equivalent by KTU University.) Rs.1000.00/-
  • For subsequent Equivalency applications(For degree which have been recognised/made equivalent by KTU University.) Rs.1000.00/-
